Experience

Karen’s practice is focused on complex commercial and general litigation across a wide variety of areas. Karen advises on disputes involving oil and gas joint venture claims, contractual disputes, construction and energy disputes, builders’ liens, class action defence, negligence claims, and intentional torts. Her experience extends to arbitration, mediation, and pre-litigation strategic advice.

Prior to joining BD&P, Karen articled and practiced at a top-tier national law firm in Calgary. Karen has represented clients in the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, the Court of King’s Bench of Saskatchewan, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
