Published October 2, 2018
We are proud to announce that litigation partner Jeffrey Sharpe was recently inducted as a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL).
Founded in 1950, the ACTL is an invitation-only Fellowship of exceptional trial lawyers from the United States and Canada, and is one of the most prestigious Fellowships for litigation lawyers in North America. After an in-depth screening process and peer review, only those who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity and professionalism and collegiality throughout their career are admitted into the Fellowship.
Jeffrey has been a litigation lawyer for over 20 years and has a diverse practice covering construction, energy and securities litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolution. He has acted as lead counsel at all levels of Court in Alberta and the Supreme Court of Canada. Jeffrey is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
He has been recognized by Chambers Canada, Lexpert, Best Lawyers and Benchmark Canada as a leading litigation lawyer. He is praised by his clients and peers for being "great counsel" and "someone you can solve problems with".
Jeffrey joins his BD&P colleagues Daniel J. McDonald Q.C., David R. Haigh Q.C., and Douglas G. Mills as an ACTL Fellow.
